So often referred to as “Bishop Kelley”, “Kelley”, or “BKHS”, our high school bears the name of a very specific person and for very good reason. Bishop Francis Clement Kelley (1870-1948) was a devout priest, an excellent preacher, apologist, author of 17 books, diplomat, army chaplain, and founder the Catholic Extension Society.
At Bishop Kelley High School, we are blessed with this marvelous example of faith and work. He overcame tremendous obstacles in his personal life and in his life of ministry. While his obstacles are not our obstacles, we can still follow his example of perseverance in our daily lives.
